Atlantic School of Theology Library, Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada
Electronic Services Librarian (October 2007 – July 2008)

Daily Reference desk shift. Answered reference questions in-person, by phone, and by email.
Trained students, faculty, and staff on reference and research databases.
Responsible for the reference collection, including their growing digital reference collection.
Managed and maintained vendor databases, electronic collections, and research software.
Liaised with vendors on technical and support issues.
Evaluated potential purchases for fit and function within the AST Library mandate.
Administrator for AST’s ASIN Portal (open URL resolver, federated search, and Ezproxy).
Responsible for recognizing and developing new online representation opportunities for AST Library (Library Blog, Facebook page, and WebCT presence).
Maintained library public and staff computers.
Maintained the library and school websites.
Represented the AST Library on the Novanet Library Consortium OPAC Committee.
Library representative on the AST Library Senate Committee.

Archival Assistant (April 2006 – May 2006)

Accessioned archival acquisitions according to RAD standards and created finding aids for these fonds. Collections included photographs, slides, printed documents, and handwritten documents.

Cultural Resource Management Group, Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada
Contract Archaeologist (December 2004 – February 2005)

Excavated and documented a mid-eighteenth century site. Cleaned, mended, and catalogued the backlog of artefacts from the previous year of excavations. Worked with the Parks Canada database for cataloguing artefacts and help to adjust it to be efficient.
